WhiteRectangle.co.uk (“White Rectangle”, “we”, “our”) sells original works of art by Carol Phillips through the website www.whiterectangle.co.uk (the “site”).
These terms and conditions govern your use of this site. By using this site you are agreeing to the Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy and Returns Policy. If you do not agree with these policies, you should not use this site.
Colours: You understand and agree that all reasonable efforts have been made to display the colours of original works of art as accurately as possible on this site. As individual monitors display colours differently, White Rectangle is not responsible for the colour accuracy and you agree not to hold White Rectangle liable for any inconsistencies in colour as per your monitor or colour perception.
Intellectual Property: The materials contained in this site are protected by the copyright law of the United Kingdom, all rights reserved and all other laws of the United Kingdom. White Rectangle has the exclusive intellectual property rights to all photos, images, text, videos and any other material or content included on this site.
Social Media Content Sharing: You may share content on social media that is linked to this site.
Third Party Services: This site uses third party services, applications or sites, that make available their content and services. When you access those third-party services, applications or sites, you are bound by the terms and policies of the third party.
Purchasing Policy: On completion of your order you will be sent a verification email. White Rectangle will make reasonable efforts to fulfil their shipping agreement to you within 7 days of the order being placed. When your artwork has been shipped you will be sent an email notification of shipping that includes the delivery tracking number if applicable. Original artwork is supplied on a collection only basis. White Rectangle will contact you to arrange a suitable time for you to visit the studio to collect your new purchase.
Payments: eCommerce Payment Processor; Payments are made through Paypal, and processing of payments is subject to the third party’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. You agree to pay White Rectangle, through the payment processor, the full amount as charged.
Customer Complaints: If there are any problems or discrepancies with your order, you shall notify us within 5 days of receipt of your delivery via email to carol@whiterectangle.co.uk
Limitation of Liability: White Rectangle’s liability will not exceed the total amount paid for the artwork.
Governing Law: These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom. You agree that any action to enforce these Terms and Conditions will be brought solely in the courts located in the United Kingdom.
Commissions: On receipt of the deposit the price is confirmed.
Deposits are non-refundable, unless the artist is unable to start the commission. If the client cancels the work, the deposit will not be refunded, but otherwise it will be treated as part payment of the price.
The invoice for the balance is issued as soon as the work is completed. Until the invoice is paid in full, the picture will remain vested with White Rectangle Fine Art.
If the balance due is not paid within 21 days interest will be payable on the amount outstanding from the date on which the invoice was presented until the date on which it is paid at the rate at 4% above Barclays Base Rate for the time being.
Copyright rests with the artist. Photographs of portraits are not used for marketing purposes by the artist without the express permission of the client.
