Thought you might like to see the photos from my latest commission.
1) This is the photo that I chose from my client, she ordered this painting from me for Fathers’ Day, it’s a place they go on holiday every year.
2) This is the first stage – blocking in the background colour:
3) After a week or so I could start adding in more detail once the first layer of oil was dry. I let my six year old have a little go too! Her first time with oil paints….
4) The detail was gradually added in over a couple of months – as each layer dried.
5) Finished off by signing and adding wire for hanging.
